Besides their own couch in the family room, ours have their own room, with separate heat and a/c, and a doggy door.

The only reason I run a heater during the cold winter days I work at home is because Fiona will stand there shivering looking at me making me feel bad.

Also some times when my wife's not looking I let her sneak in bed (ssshhhh! Don't say anything)

Here's ours. Her name is Lacey and she's currently running about 130 lbs. Unless she's sound asleep on the couch, you can;t get within 50 feet of our house without her barking up a storm.

This was her partner in crime Ruby. She had bone cancer and we had to put her down the day before Thanksgiving.

At the risk of resurrecting a zombie thread...

Last November we lost our Boston. After several months, we decided it was time to love another dog. I lobbied for another rescue dog, but I was overruled by SWMBO, and we wound up with a new puppy this week. She's 7 weeks old and way too adorable for words.

She's still useless as a Security Alarm, but that day will come. Let me introduce you to Kimber:

Cute Boston! I never thought I would like a small dog but I was forced to when I married into our Boston Terrier. Now I am a big fan of the Bostons, they are great and should she pass away early we would definitely replace her with another Boston (I am lobbying for a Rescue as well). Once our baby is a few years older we may even get a second one so that there will be some overlap in their lifespans.

Anybody that has visited "The Old Cannon Armory" will probably recognize "The Labs." Zoe (the black one) is young and sassy, and loves to walk around carrying a full-size blanked in her mouth. Caesar (the yellow one) likes to act grumpy but can suss out pretty fast if you're a good person or not. They're good barkers, but they will zip into their shared kennel on command and will watch folks from there. Sometimes Caesar will even whine/talk at me when I ask him to stop barking (as some of you have observed).

If you need security or a timer for your popcorn, look no further. I will work for food. I'll even clean up the floor, couch or chair of any remaining debris.

Just try to pull this toy out of my mouth. Go ahead I dare you. I'll mess you up like I did to this rug.
