Looking for a hotel in San Antonio

#1

Post by Waco1959 »

Next Saturday night (01/26) we will be staying in San Antonio. My wife has a class to attend on Sunday at a Senior Center at 137 W. French Place, San Antonio. This is between I-10 and 281 but north of I-35. I haven't stayed in SA in years so I have no idea of what hotels are good/bad or what areas to avoid. Any recommendations would be helpful. BTW, we will be arriving late evening and checking out moderately early so the three main criteria clean, safe, and quiet.

Thanks for any suggestions.

I travel to San Antonio frequently for my job. I always stay at the Courtyard Medical Center, just off
Fredricksburg road. Just outside LP410 on the northwest side close to I-10

If you are coming in just to stay and want clean, safe, quiet and CHEAP try the Holiday Inn Express on I-10 at Woodforest. If you book online you can grab a king size bed with fridge microwave couch and high speed for around $80 a nigt. Which is a bargain. Most hotels I grab are not as nice and they are $120+ You also have a free breakfast at 6am. Including my favorite Automatic Pancake Machine. Push a button and 60 seconds later you got 2 good pancakes. :)

Always drive with lots of laptops and high dollar equipment. Nevr had a single issue. The hotel is new. Lots of food nearby.
