Jana Mashonee sings "Oh Holy Night" in Navajo. She's accompanied by an orchestra and a Native American ensemble.

Mercy me - Silient Night. With all due respect to the original, their version is how it should have been done. If someone would link it for me I'd appreciate it (I don't know how on my iPad) :confused5

Two favorite Christmas CDs every year:

1) Andrew Peterson's "Behold The Lamb of God" -- it's a beautiful, musical telling of the whole big-picture story of Christmas.

2) Rick Trevino's "Oh Ven, Emanuel" -- I grew up going to the same church as he does, and every year he sings at the Christmas Eve service. He has the kids come up and join him for part of it. When I hear him singing "Away in a Manger," "Silent Night," and "Welcome to Our World," I'm back in the sanctuary with the warmth and light of all the candles and the crowd, celebrating Christmas with my church family. It amazes me how strong the connection is. I imagine it's a good CD in and of itself as well, but the real reason I listen to it is for the nostalgia.

Elvis Presley, "Blue Christmas"

My mom wore out that record when my dad was in Vietnam. I couldn't stand it for years afterwards but after mom passed away it has become my favorite.

There are 3 or 4 short videos on youtube of Rick singing last Christmas Eve at HCBC.

I love this song and Sugarland's rendition is unusual.

I don't know which one is my all time favorite, but the USAF Band "Flash Mob" playing Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring/Joy to the World at the National Air and Space Museum is a superb bit of muscianship and choreography.

Be sure you have some good speakers or headphones to listen to this, because the sound recording is excellent. I've played it about 50 times so far.

Clay, stop motion, silly. A classic that still brings joy to the hearts of my children and grand children!

My favorite rendition of the "Quest of the Magi"
1964, vocal arrangement by Brian Wilson.
