Was behind one of these the other day in The Woodlands, and made sure to stay behind him. Crappy black beater sedan with a camera on either side of the trunk looking forward. I was sorely tempted to follow him and clip the wiring, but I decided to adult instead.

You have no legitimate expectation of privacy when you are in public, sorry. So when you are driving your car in public, i.e. on public roads, regardless if you helped pay for them through taxes or tolls, you have no privacy rights.
Is this creepy, yes. Is it a violation of your right to privacy, nope.

I've got an aquaintence who moonlights repo'ing vehicles. He told me tracks 99% of the people via Facebook. Specifically church Facebook sites.
