I don't follow your post. Maybe because I'm ignorant on the meaning of "virtue signaling". Care to educate a poor urban redneck like myself?

You know. Those public, empty gestures intended to convey socially approved attitude without any associated risk or sacrifice. Like millionaires kneeling during the national anthem to protest "injustice" rather than spending their free time (and wealth) doing something to actually make a difference.

I'm just teasing you, thus the Mr. Green emoji, but it's like when the American Immigration Lawyers Association cancelled their annual convention at the Gaylord in Grapevine and squandered $150,000 of their members' money on a surrendered deposit because of Texas's "unfriendliness to migrants, LGBTQRXLMNOP, and other people of color" and spent twice the money to host it in San Francisco.

From Wiki:

"Virtue signalling, spelled virtue signaling in the United States, is the conspicuous expression of moral values.[1] The term was first used in signalling theory, to describe any behavior that could be used to signal virtue—especially piety among the religious.[2] In recent years, the term has become more commonly used as a pejorative by commentators to criticize what they regard as empty or superficial support of certain political views, and also used within groups to criticize their own members for valuing appearance over action.[3][4] "
