My 11 y/o son loves the show and I caught a glimpse. It was the episode where some lady caught a Zombie, chopped each arm off and then placed his mouth/teeth on a big rock. STOMP and teeth went a flyin'

Awesome!!!!!!!
Ironic how violent scenes of this nature are purely acceptable, but displaying a human nipple is considered "pornographic".

hee, heee, heeeee, hee, you said nipple. :biggrinjester:

No, I don't think it is ironic. It's the moral decay of society.

I liked it too, but they gave away the surprise when they did the "previously on The Walking Dead" and showed him talking on his walkie talkie in season 1. That right there told me that his friend would come back. I wish they wouldn't have done that because I was waiting for him as soon as the show started.

Now for my tangent... the traps he setup with rodents, birds, and the spears for the zombies to become impaled upon was genius! I bet they go back to the prison on don't learn a darn thing from what they just saw.

Another tangent, why don't they look for more swords... that appears to be the most effective weapon for when you're needing to be silent!
I don't even know how you remembered that (him talking on the radio to him).

I'm still not too sure how they got away from the prison. I thought they were pretty much barricaded in there.

I don't know why people don't head to either an island or a big boat in these zombie shows and movies. With the right supply runs to set-up your preps you'd be good to go.

Or maybe a high rise with a large flat roof. Basically just control the access points by eliminating them. I guess the prison is good but I just wouldn't want to live there! In the "Walking Dead" it seems a good chain link fence is enough to stop the zombie hordes so maybe just head to a high game fenced ranch if you're here in TX. You'd have to ride the fence line a lot though just to be certain.

Also haven't seem them being more pro-active about killing zombies. It seems like it would be in their best interests to lure them to a certain fortified spot in the fence and then stab them in the head. Then just do like Hawkins (I only know his name from Jericho) and burn the remains. I also think it would be a good idea to hang tarps along the fence so the walkers can not see in. Then just have someone watch the fence lines from the guard towers.

I know this is going way beyond the point of the show but I just like talking Zombie preps. :)

Also agree on cleaning up the zombie hoard. Not to mention that he number of zombies should start to drastically decrease due to starvation, cold, and just stupid zombies killing themselves by walking off high spots or into something sharp. They're not fast enough to run down game, they can't hunt, they probably can't use a can opener, so the availability of zombie accessible food should have been depleted in about a month. Accepting that their metabolism is much slower than that of a human, they still have to take in enough calories to power a rotting body stumbling around at every noise they think might be food. Two months, three tops, an ambulatory zombie ought to be pretty hard to find.
I enjoy the show, but it does take a pretty big suspension of disbelief.

They've yet to step foot outside of Georgia. In yesterday's episode, when they went to where Morgan is, his drawings showed their old neighborhood, including Rick's house. I don't know if they were in that neighborhood, but that if so, they haven't moved far at all. Hopefully as the show progresses, they'll move locations. The prison won't last.

I hate when I have to suspend disbelief for a zombie movie!

I just hope when the zombie apocalypse happens it's "Walking Dead" zombies and not "I am Legend" zombies!

Wait a minute now. The "zombie disease" is in everyone. As soon as anyone dies, they become a zombie. Your island paradise would suddenly be crawling with zombies. :thumbs2:

Why not just electrify the fence at the prison? They have the means, and Jenner said the disease was from the electrical charge in the brain.

I think the reason is that zombie violence, while realistic looking, is understood to be fake. However, whenever some "disrobes" on camera, it is completely real.

Pretty slow episode tonight. How stupid is Rick??? He has the opportunity to shoot his nemeses right through the face and let's him walk?? Maybe I am not as humane, I would have shot that sick son of a gun right where he stood.

Rick doesn't have the benefit of watching the show on TV and seeing everything that has been going on in the Governers camp.
