If the police can't confirm the ID of the caller a report like this they shouldn't respond like this. Packages laying on the porch was a clue that maybe no one is home! This is how innocent people have been killed by police. If they can't provide the ID to the victim's lawyer shame on the PD. That's my opinion for what it's worth.
