Don't know if the program is still going on, but there was a group about 10-15 years ago that was actively trying to re-intoduce bobcats into the Buffalo Bayou watershed. I worked for the county and we received some sighting-calls. It took some digging, but the 'source' of the cats was located. They were very low key, and no one ever voiced any complaints-just an occasional sighting.

I suspect the bobcat would only be dangerous if he thought he was cornered.

After all, humans are much too large to be considered "food".

Heck my house cat weighs as much as that bobcat - but the bobcat definitely has bigger teefus.

There have allegedly been sightings of a black panther at one of my remote sites...

Fortunately, I've never had to go there.

I doubt that I would be quick enough to draw on a giant stalking kitty cat, when it decided to pounce...
