For those that did what others couldn't.
For those that did what others wouldn't.
For those that faced horror, so others wouldn't have to...

We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother

What is a veteran?
A veteran is a person who at one time in their life signed a blank check payable up to The United States of America for an amount up to their life.
From those who didn't have to pay the full amount to those who did. Thank you.

Raise your glass to all who have served and offer a prayer for all those in the field. Happy Veteran's Day to all.

@Mojo, I love that blank check analogy. I've seen it in numerous Facebook posts today. Also this - which I know I've posted here before - but I don't think anyone will mind me posting it again (grab your Kleenex) ...

Thanks to all for your good wishes, and I add mine to all veterans too. If you have not seen the documentary "World War II in HD," it is a must see. The personal accounts are inspiring, and it is sad to note that only 10% of all who served in that war are alive today. We must remember our history.

My dad spent 20 years in the Air Force, 6 months of that in Guam when we were bombing North Vietnam. My son is in the Army and is currently deplyed in Iraq. I am VERY proud to be related to such courageous men!

To All Veterans: I cannot adequately convey my gratitude for your willingness to courageously put your life on the line for my/our freedoms. It is a selfless act that can only be described as heroism. You are our heroes! Your country is deeply indebted to you. Thank You! Thank You!

Some gave all. All gave some. In and out of uniform.
