Well, not quite.

I was driving to lunch today when something on the power line caught my eye.

Possum out in the day - exposed - worry about its health. But a very cool shot!

And a very steady hand. I bet AndyC is a heck of a shot.
AndyC is a pretty good shot, but what does that have to do with anything?

(Hint: AddyLO took the pictures.) ;-)

I was wondering if it was a challenge to AndyC.

Or maybe a different type of meat for his Biltong.

i wonder if she had to much of someone's empty beer cans last night. :smilelol5:
in my neighborhood the hawks or eagles would have given her pause

When I was a kid we had a great dane that was not at all a fan of folks in uniform, and one of his favorite past times was "playing" with trespassing cats, squirrels etc that wandered through his yard until they "weren't fun anymore". He would occasionally leave his "treasure" on the porch for us because he was so proud.

One night we came home (granted I was like 5) and "King" had killed an opossum. Mom told me to go tell my dad to get the shovel and throw it in the woods. I was so excited I ran to my dad hollering "Daddy, Daddy, King killed the postman and momma wants you to get the shovel and put him in the woods!" Dad was most relieved to discover that it was not the mailman, but just a small mammal that he was gonna have to dispose of as King had busted a few screen doors scaring away the mailman

We're seeing more o'possums during the day around here (Fort Worth-Dallas), primarily, according to one of the ag teachers: because of the scarcity of rain/food... they're having to scavenge more for food, and that's driving them out of their normal territory and night time ops.

Very nice pix, btw! The last one gives me an idea that he/she was thinking... "OK, can I take this human, or not?"
