New iPhone?
Any other folks on here being all nerded out and excited about the iPhone (5?) release tomorrow? I plan on pre-ordering as soon as it's announced. I went and traded my iPhone4 into Best Buy on Sunday for $210, so I'm hoping to upgrade for basically free. As a side note, I have been using an OOOOOOLLLLLLLDDDDDD samsung flip phone since Sunday. It took me two whole days to figure out how to actually text on it.... time flies.

I'm an android person, but I'll be getting one for my wife. Her 3gs isn't working too well these days.
Word is that the official announcement will be tomorrow, but we won't be able to place an order until Friday 9/14. The phone is purported to be released on 9/21.

Not really, but I'm a slow adaptor.
I just finally got an iphone4 a few months ago. I think I will stick with it for a while.![Cheers2 :cheers2:](./images/smilies/cheers2.gif)

Re: New iPhone?
My wife's more interested in the WII release in November.
I'm looking forward to upgrading my 3GS to a 4GS when the latest iPhone comes out. I don't have to be cutting edge. I prefer cheaper edge.![rlol "rlol"](./images/smilies/rlol.gif)

Clarionite & 74Nova,
I'm usually the same way... really slow to adapt to technology. This is the first time I have found myself caught up in the iPhone hype...
This, opposed to my wife who has a 6 year old blackberry. She gives me a lotta flak...

I got bit with the bug for a new Win7 Phone. I'm a programmer, and was in Vegas at a conference when they were demo'ing the Samsung Fucus the week before it's release. I loved the screen on that phone. I bought one the following week. Spent way too much money on it, and didn't really like the phone. A month later, the phone started having issues syncing. I took it to the repair center. The people before me and after me in line had the same phone and the same issue. They told each of us that it must have gotten wet, so they refused to repair or replace the phone under warranty. I had to spend $50 for my insurance deductable to get another phone. My son now has that phone, and I'm using my 3GS that I had before that phone.
My wife wanted the 4G, so I bought her one when it first came out. She's trying to convince me to update my 3GS to a 4GS, and she'll swipe my new phone. <G>
Re: New iPhone?
I'm pretty happy with my 4G. I can't image any features that a 5 could add that would make it a Must for me.
But my wife has stood in line several times at the Apple Store. She's the early adopter

I'm sticking with my Galaxy Note. Best phone I have ever had and I get 3-4 days battery life with normal usage! I don't care that its as big as a phone book it still fits in my front pocket!snatchel wrote:Any other folks on here being all nerded out and excited about the iPhone (5?) release tomorrow? Re: New iPhone?
I'm an Apple fanboy of sorts, but I have no plans to run out and get the iPhone 5. My iPhone 4 is perfectly serviceable, and I'm still on an iPad 1. No real need to spend the money.

Well, at my age, I finally got a Smart Phone when I had to turn in my company phone upon retirement. I recently put the latest and greatest dialer app on the phone for old folks like me. Actually works great and commands much attention in public when I make a call
