best prank but it gets me irritated

I am a person that loves a good prank or funny item, either to me or on someone else. The later is always best.
Saying that I dont go out of my way to prank people and have forgiven most that have even wronged me in a detrimental way.
I know who is doing this prank...but there is no way to prove it enough to go to court or even pursue legal avenues
so I share this as a WOW, why didnt i think of this sooner
I had received a nasty text from my former daughter in law, of which i choose not to respond.
then shortly afterwards
we began receiving texts and phone calls about every 45 -60 minutes
it seems we wanted a car(a brand of which we have never owned) transported from our home to somewhere in upstate NY

after the 50th or so call from every transport company in the free world or so it seems, someone gave us the email from which it had originated....and it was a false dummy email.

so after a week or so we finally got the calls to stop.

well fast forward to this morning at 1030 am
ring ring its xyz insurance following up on a quote to insure a brand of car we have never owned...
this was followed by 5 or more calls within the hour.
all of which were very polite and understood we did not request such information, I wish she would pick a great car i would own, not some pos she is using.

then out of the blue guess who calls and then texts.

pretty funny, "rlol" "rlol"
i didn't let her know we suspect her or anything, but did let her know the protection orders are still valid, :rules: enjoy the visit you shall receive soon enough. I log it at the sheriffs office and go back home. The only bad thing is she lives in TN and there is no way the local leos are going to go get her for a few phone and text messages. so we play her games until....

got to love in-laws, especially the former ones
i have been tempted to send her a subscription to some really bizarre magazine, but i will not lower myself just yet :mrgreen:

Get her a subscription to an "alternative lifestyle" magazine.

Simple but very annoying for the recipient. Every night go to http://www.wakeupdialer.com/ and schedule a wake-up call for 4 a.m. to her number. Fight fire with fire, I say. :evil2:

As a circulation manager of a weekly publication, please know that the margins for subscriptions are very slim. A prank subscription would hurt a business already hurting, while giving a mere minor irritation to an "out-law."

How would one more paid subscription hurt the magazine?

Yes, a paid subscription is beneficial to the publisher. :thewave

Typically though, subscriptions are processed in the following order:
(1) requested;
(2) a statement is mailed out:
(3) the sending of issue(s) are begun immediately;
(4) payment is remitted and credited as received.
(5) terminated for non-payment -- only after one to four copies are sent out

My experience is that pranksters want to "prank" rather than pay. Just saying ...

Hypothetically speaking, if you were a less easy going guy, you could post ads on craigslist with her first name and her manager's work phone number. I'll leave it to your imagination what she could be selling.

Pranks or as we used to call them - Practical Jokes, cause pain.

I've yet to understand how causing the suffering of others funny...?

Am I just an ole stick in the mud? I don't think so. I have a wide ranging sense of humor, but it doesn't include hurting others.

I wonder what a head-shrinker would say about someone causing pain as a form of hilarity...?

I would say that ONCE is a prank...but when it continues, it is harassment. If I read your posting correctly, you are reporting this to the authorities. Good. Not sure what will actually get done, but at least it is documented for any future reason. Best of luck to you.
