The cellphone pictures had Gps location. So, does this mean that all of weopon pictures that we post on this site contains the gps location if taken with the cellphone? What other information is embedded?

Yeah, if you follow tech news sites this has been known for a while. Most modern smartphones embed the GPS location in every photo you take. Its a "feature" so you can track where all your photos were taken.

You can also turn it off on some phones so that it doesn't do that.

Depends on the software you use to snap the photo.
In most smartphone SW there is a setting to turn off GPS data on the photo.
After the fact, you can edit the photo with free software and edit or remove the GPS portion of the EXIF data.

Apparently, Apple iPhone has (had?) no setting to turn off GPS data collection so it has (had?) to be done after the fact. Might have been fixed already. I'm an Android fan, so I can't confirm.

Google is your friend on this...

When I upload photos to photobucket.com, one of the upload options I use strips all personally identifiable data from the file.

I know this is an older post but I just ran across this post (new member).

All of the personal data contained in a digital photo can be removed using your computer. On Windows just right-click on the photo(s) and select "Properties". Under the "Details" tab you'll see a link "Remove Properties and Personal Information". Clicking on this will give you the option to either make a copy of the photo(s) with all data removed or to select which data you want removed (i.e. - date taken, owner, location) permanently from the photo(s). I personally make a clean copy for posting online; I like to have a copy with the location and date for my poor memory!

I told my niece about this years ago when she took photos in a mirror at my house and I scorned her for telling everyone where I am through exif info.

You just get GPS coordinates, and I haven't seen a phone yet that forced you to have that embedded into the photo. Most of the exif info has to do with camera settings. In my DSLRs, I have added information into the exif to specifically tie me to those photos. A couple years ago Adam Savage from Mythbusters posted a picture online and everyone figured out exactly where he lives.
