Hi everyone,

The_Busy_Mom and I were talking the other day about how cool it would be to get together with as many of us CHLers as possible for an evening dinner or something at a centrally located restaurant. Maybe we could rent out a banquet room or a Party Room.

Who all would be interested in doing something like this?

If there are enough, we can set something up for a month away to give folks time to plan and run a poll with some choices in restaurant.

Just a thought....

AndyC has scheduled a few get togethers for us that also included shooting at Elm Fork. I have never been able to attend due to our class schedule. But I am certainly up for trying it again! Always ready to get together with like minded folks.

If I am not on duty. I'd love to put faces with some of the handles.

I'd love to. Only reason I've never been able to before is that they've all been on Saturday and its Shabbat (I have duties at synagogue). If there's enough notice I might be able to find someone to take my place temporarily.

Though, in the current ammo shortage, I don't know if I'd shoot or not. Probably just hang out.

Yeah, it's just my work schedule that's kept me from attending the past DFW Get Togethers.

Mine are:

1. Any day. My schedule is flexible but could change and make me not available any day. Picking one, I would say Saturday
2. Evening is best
3. I like food so long as it's not fast food
4. Hard 8 BBQ; Any steak restaurant; Any tex-mex

1. What day is the best day: Sunday
2. What time of day is best for you: Any
3. What kind of food do you like: As long as it's kosher, I'm good. Besides, I don't eat much these days.
4. Name your top 3 places you's like: steak, Greek, Italian

The wife and I are in.

1. Saturday or maybe Sunday
2. Evening is best
3. Anything that's not weird
4. Steak, Tex-mex

3. What kind of food do you like: Anyone considered a tail gating BBQ type of thing? This way anyone needing Kosher can have that, or what ever ya like.

No that's a great idea! When I drive truck we used to do Breakfast In The Parking Lot all the time. It was always a lot of fun.

Schedule permitting I'll be there. I was at the last one that Hoi Polloi put together. I didn't have a shotgun then and didn't go back with AndyC to shoot clays, but this time I will if he's game. Besides, he still has yet to shoot my Benelli M2 3-gun and I would love to see what he can do with it.

We can set something up for a later date. the_busy_mom and I are right there with you and your food choices..

Awesome guys!!!!! Looks like this is shaping up. I love the idea of a cook out. We have a smoker and could smoke a little extra meat before had as well.

If we can't at the range, maybe we can at a park. Think they'll mind if we put up our own targets.
