Just wondering if anyone has worked for any armored car/security job here in Texas such as Loomis or Brinks? How was it, pros and cons? I have a brother who wants to go into that just want some feedback. Thank you.

I tried to apply for them a couple of times, but I wouldn't get a response. But I don't have a CDL license which it a + with CIT(Cash In Transit) jobs.

An awfully long time ago I worked for Burns Security part time after doing it full time during a strike. They were pretty good to work for, but this was the 70s and things were a little different. I was promoted to "shift supervisor" which meant I could have sergeant's stripes on my sleeve, but I never bothered to sew them on. At that time only lieutenants and above were armed, although there were a couple of positions that were hired as armed, such as armored driver and such, but Burns only hired people with NY pistol permits for those jobs, where the internals who carried, although licensed by the state, were "sponsored" by the company under a different state law.
People who hired on as armed with a NY pistol permit had to provide their own gun and Burns supplied the duty rig, but if your gun didn't fit the duty rig, you were supplying that too, in black basket weave. The internals were provided a gun, but if they had a pistol permit and their own they had the option of carrying that, with upper level approval.
I preferred the site security jobs to being a supervisor because as a supervisor I was required to run all over and check on the shift, and to respond to calls, and to fill in for folks who didn't show up or got sick and went home.
