Surprised that I just came across this, but it looks like a really great resource. Thanks!

Great post, but better double check you links. Already found one that is not working; Missouri. It should be http://www.moga.mo.gov/STATUTES/C571.HTM" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Re: OFFICIAL STATE LINKS>>
This info is available at HandgunlawUS and appears to be kept pretty well updated. The .pdf document there has a link to the online laws for each state, and lists the applicable sections under the categories of Firearms / CCW, Use of Deadly Force / Knife Laws / Chemical and Electric Weapons and Body Armor. To use it, you need to note the sections you want to look up under each category for your state of interest, then click on the active link on the left and navigate to the sections you want. It's a little bit clumsy, but I understand it's much easier to keep the link for the general state laws updated than to try to keep up with the link changes every time a new statute is posted anywhere.Keith B wrote:Great post, but better double check you links. The home page also has great resources for state laws on "shall issue" or discretionary issue of permits, reciprocity, places with federal restrictions on firearms, traveling with firearms, whether or not you have to notify an officer that you have a firearm during a stop, etc. It's a pretty good one stop shop for all of these issues and might well merit a sticky post on the forum.
