Re: You favorite rife ? Shotgun ?
I only have three shotguns and one of them I haven't fired yet. That's the 20ga. ATI/Cavalry O/U that I'm giving to my daughter for her birthday today.
My second shotgun is a .410 Mossberg that belonged to my FIL. This is the gun my daughter likes and became interested in skeet shooting with.
My first shotgun and what will probably always be my favorite is a Benelli M2 3-gun model. It is a wonderful and versatile shotgun that I have enjoyed shooting skeet, trap, and 5-stand with. I will also soon get to try sporting clays. I originally purchased it with the intent of getting involved in 3-gun matches, but have only done one of those.
As for my favorite rifle, I'm not really sure. Those I have a few more of and several that I like very much. I'll have to think on that a while.

The butt pad on that Citori is the same kind that is on my Dad's Sears 20ga pump that might be older than me. It is no longer a pad.WildBill wrote:Sorry no pictures of my own, but my favorite rifle is Remington 700 BDL in .308 and Browning Citori Lightning O/U 12 gauge.

It is still attached to his, but is no longer a pad. It is rock hard. My Benelli 12ga shoots softer.WildBill wrote:Mine still has the pad.C-dub wrote:WildBill wrote:Sorry no pictures of my own, but my favorite rifle is Remington 700 BDL in .308 and Browning Citori Lightning O/U 12 gauge.

I'm sure that's a Pachmayr "White Line" recoil pad. I used to put them on my long guns to add an inch to the LOP, but I started using slip-on recoil pads, so I wouldn't lose the butt plates and screws.C-dub wrote:It is still attached to his, but is no longer a pad. Those old 700 BDL's sure were purty. Not sure if the newer ones look that good or not.

Re: You favorite rife ? Shotgun ?
My go to rifle is my old 1974 model Ruger M77 .270 with a 3x9 gold ring Leupold. It has always shot the tightest groups of any gun I've ever handled. I pick it up, and it just knows me like an old friend.
Do what you say you're gonna do.
