I took the day off today to de-stress but primarily to go shoot this thing. There was no wind at my home but 25 miles away at the range it was gusty between 10-15 mph.
Still, onwards and upwards - I had my ShotKam all set up and went ahead. Here are a few quick merged clips - bear in mind the video plays at 1/3rd of true speed:

The ShotKam speed allows me to see the shot-cloud and exactly how I missed - here's Station 8 Low House:

That still is amazing! The video in you other post shows how effective a .410 can be in dusting those birds.I took the day off today to de-stress but primarily to go shoot this thing. There was no wind at my home but 25 miles away at the range it was gusty between 10-15 mph.

Shotkam designed by a Scottish engineer - helps us save money, you see ;)
.410 can sure smack 'em, it's obviously just harder to do.

Re: Savage Stevens 555 Enhanced .410 shotgun chosen
I put my shotgun to paper on the weekend and was getting very tight patterns at 21 yards, so I measured the constrictions with a bore-gauge and calipers - here's what I have:
1. Full - .382" - .028" constriction from .410 bore
2. Imp Mod - .387" - .023"
3. Mod - .390" - .020"
4. Imp Cyl - .395" - .015'
5. Cyl - .399" - .011"
Kinda tight, to say the least! The alleged Cyl choke is more like Mod or Full in other brands.
Anyway, I phoned Savage to see what options they have - and they want the whole gun and chokes shipped to them. I'm not in the mood for all that, so I ordered a few of their in-stock chokes ($8 each) which, if they're not already closer to spec, I can attempt to modify myself with some sandpaper/dowel.
