Mossberg pistol grip shotguns are inexpensive and Mossbergs are nice. But shooting a 12ga pistol grip is difficult. LOL.

I put a bout 200 rounds through my Mossberg 930 SPX a couple weeks ago. Ran perfectly.

Stoeger makes a semi-auto HD gun for an MSRP of $499. The reviews I've read on it have been positive. 18.5" barrel, pistol grip, looks like capacity on it is 4+1.

Here's the page with the "defense guns" from Stoeger:

Prices and specs can be found in the middle of the 2000 series shotgun page:

Natchezss.com is running a sale.
The black 935 Mossberg is $408
The black 930 is $380.
Ship to your FFL.

I'm seriously considering one or both.. Here's the link to their sale flyer. http://catalogs.natchezss.com/xNyST47/SpecialFlyer.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

edit:fat fingers
Ø resist

Take away the second first, and the first is gone in a second.

WOW! That's a smoking deal on that 930. But it would take some money to make it into a tactical shotgun. My vote would be for the Mossberg 930SPX. It's already good to go.

This Saiga shotgun is magazine fed, 12 + 1 capacity:

3 or less when hunting migratory birds, on Federal lands or in some states like Missouri. Upland has no limit in most states, so you can use what ever you want to carry. I have a Benelli with a magazine extender that I use when I block pheasants.
