Magpul PRS stock question
I purchased a used PRS stock a while back but it does not say Magpul on it anywhere, no markings at all. It certainly looks like original Magpul to me but...
I was told it was bought in a PX in Iraq-could this be true? Could that be the reason it has no markings or is it maybe a repro?
Any ideas from you Iraq vets?

Re: Magpul PRS stock question
I'm not an Iraq vet, but we have two rifles in the safe that both have Magpul PRS stocks. Both stocks - one black, and one dark earth - have the Magpul logo and other information on the side of the stock, near the bottom. Ours do not have the other graphic on the cheek riser.

yeah, mine has the stamped rectangle on it where yours says Magpul, but no logo or printing inside it-weird. Other than that it is identical.

That was my thought, or left unmarked for overseas sales. It is definitely a few years old.lowonair wrote:maybe its just an early version?

Re: Magpul PRS stock question
Are you sure it's not a Chinese knock-off? I saw some at a gun show a while back. The guy selling them said they were missing a butt plat screw. The guy that bought it walked over to a MagPul dealer and got a screw for a couple of bucks and it fit. I have a genuine PRS but I couldn't tell the difference.slinco wrote:I purchased a used PRS stock a while back but it does not say Magpul on it anywhere, no markings at all. Thats a great idea, I'll do that today.AndyC wrote:Saw lots of stuff in various PX's in Iraq, but never major parts such as gun-stocks - plenty of slings, holsters, mag-pouches, cleaning-kits etc, but never stocks, magazines, handguards...
Take some pics and email them to Magpul
Thanks

Re: Magpul PRS stock question
If it doesn't have the MagPul logo....then its a Chinese knock-off (like the ones for sale on ebay).
That doesn't necessarily make them "bad"....but they are not the genuine article.
