Thanks everyone. It's given me quite a bit to think about. I'm going to take a look at the slings mentioned. I need to get a good light. And I believe I'll set aside a kitty for an Eotech and magnifier. I looked at one at Top Brass in San Antonio this week, and I liked it. It's a little pricier than I had inteded, but what hasn't been?

As a streamlight guy, this is odd, but I'm a huge fan of the newer Surefire X300...500 lumens. Might be overkill in a largely indoor role, but its on my short list.

Also, for most applications, I find Aimpoint > Eotech, but this is usually considered subjective.

Yes. Gigag and many others here have also influenced me over the last year or two. However, I'm thankful they have.

Edit for me previous post - it's the X300 Ultra that has the 500 lumens. I don't think I'd put one on a pistol as I OFTEN use my gunlight, sometimes indoors, and I think it would kill your night vision in a dark building.
