Texas City Municipal range is .50 BMG friendly although the rifle section is only 100 yards.

So Stevie, you've fessed up to the caliber, but not to the make and model. Inquiring minds WANT to know.

I have found several ranges around to shoot mine but no 1000yd ones. One on hwy 6 and one on 288. If you got the M82A1 with Leupold Scope I have too good an idea what you spent . A couple dresses wont cut it!

Show you mine if you show us yours.... :cheers2:

Barrett .50 model 99A1, 32" bull barrel, (MK99A1-K1) $4000, with TT&L $4320 out the door...Pelican case, Otis cleaning kit...I'm also thinking about getting the "drag bag" and the rear stock mono-pod somewhere down the road...The BORS system "might" be in the works for next year...But that will merge with the new scope rig...

It comes with the standard "Barrett" packaged 10X Bushnell scope, which I think will do fine in the interim till I scope up to a nice Leupold (high shock)...Other makeres might be in the running as well, I have not decided, as yet...

I was actually debating on the whole .50 to .416 for the "big gun" part of my collection...I asked Wife Unit to come up with a nick name for the new purchase...Needless to say she does not understand the 10 year old daughter rule here on the forum... ;-)

I'd like to get the riffle dialed in at 100yds. then do the usual basic marksmanship drills on out to...yeah, I can think a lonnnng way too... :evil2:

Since everyone likes these things, I would almost make the proposal to those who shoot at PSC, that if we got a waiver, and set one or more of these up for the "Family Forum day" that I'd be glad to have some folks try it out...But if I recall, the nieghbors downrange might not feel comfortable with that anyway, so the whole idea might not fly...But you never know...

Just remember, they put 8 of these on one of the finest fighters in WWII and to me, just to have one transends time and generations in the fact that this caliber chewed up massive amounts of enemy tail just gives me chills...

BTW, Wife Unit wore one of the dresses we bought this weekend today... ;-)

More to follow...Prolly be about another month before the boom boom comes in...But I will be hoarding .50 ammo from a couple of sources...

Yes pics and videos will mark the occasion...

YOwsa. Congratulations. Hope you're set up to reload for that monster! Getting a waiver to bring it to PSC would be a treat. :tiphat:

That's just a stock photo. I don't really think he owns one.
