I'll pipe in on the Jeaaaaaaaaaaaaaalouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuus side. shewt, I'd be gloating, too!
'grats! I know you were talking about getting one of these lil' plinkers back at the TSRA thing a couple years ago, I'm glad you were able to make it happen!
I bought a case of the BVAC ammo (9mm), and I like it just fine. It's obviously reloaded (there are a few nickel cases, and the headstamps are all different manufacturers), but I haven't had a single malfunction, Failure to feed, failure to fire, failure to extract, failure to do right, nothing.

Got the new scope on order...I don't know why Barrett teases us with those little Bushnells...
It's a Nightforce 5-22x56 mil-dot reticle, MOA turrets to accept the Barrett BORS system (which will come in due time)...
Range report from last Sunday...
Winds were at our back abt 2-4 knots tops...75 degrees...
Groups were about 5-6" at 300 yards, right out of the box...
Obviously Steve needs to do some tweeking to the package before talking more smack...

Mine came with a Leupold 4-14.5 scope. I think I will have to look into something better though as 14x isnt going to cut it when I move past 300yds. I think my groups were about 5-6" out the box and in the 10 ring. Sorry I missed Sunday, I am really wanting to go shoot again and get the scope dialed in, wont take much. I received the 2.50/rd ammo yesterday fom ammoman.com and looks to be pretty good round. Surplus non corrosive from overseas.
Didnt want to mess with sighting that day. We put it on near the end of the video and got something of a zero. Its proven difficult on where to start on sighting the thing in though since the base raises it 30 MOA off the bat and the scope bottoms out before we get it down to 100.
I wanted to get the BORS for ours but since we bought the lit reticule it won't fit
I'm taking in the lessons learned from other owners of this particular caliber, so the learning curve has been, and is relatively short...
I was planning on gettign a long-lead time Nightforce scope tht would have worked, but integrating the BORS system would have been impossible as the ranging turrets are the "speed" type, and BORS has not developed a system to inte4grate to that fine type of adjustments...
So I got a better deal and a faster one to boot with the Leopold Mk4 8.5-25x50mm with the MIL-DOT reticle...the turrets on that one have long been compatable with the BORS system, andwhere I thought the NF was less expensive, the Leopold's came in quite a few hundred dollars cheaper...I'll get the BORs system in a few months...
BTW, what would be sitting at the front door today (not a baby) but a box of 150 API rounds at 647gr.
I expect to get one more of those orders and begin getting a few recipes for a reloading exercise going sometime before the end of the year...
Yeah, I knew it was going to be expensive, but really, it is not that bad if you study the whole picture, see what you want to do, be flexible on a few items, and it soon comes together into a nice system that will outlast you...

YOU BOUGHT "COP-KILLER" BULLETS!?!?!?!?!? Just kidding.
You know, for guys like me that reload .308 and .223, you have to reload for a long darn time (or a whole heck of a lot of rounds) before you see the investment in the equipment overcome by the savings on the ammo. But I'll bet you can get there pretty quick with a .50 BMG..... ....if your shoulder holds up!
