Bit the bullet
After my thorough research I ordered a new Lancaster Ak in their desert tan finish with black synthetic furniture. They said with an influx of orders recently it might take up to a month to get it. I am a patient person so I will wait. I'll get pics and a range report ASAP. Does anyone know a FFL dealer they would recommend in the Houston area and what they might charge.

I made a similar purchase yesterday at a local shop. As for the FFL, I know you can go to auctionarms website and click on the FFL link at the top. That will spell out quite a few with their fees and phone numbers -- also sorted by how close they are to you.
