DBAR SKS Range Report w/Colt Content

So, I took the Dangerous Black Assault Rifle to the range today to sight in the Red Dot optics I purchased yesterday at Gander Mountain. (First "deal" I've ever gotten there.)

I set up at 15 yards and by shot number 6 it was driving tacks.

Moved over to the 50 yard rifle range with all the AR15 and AK ninjas and punched paper right with them.

FAR exceeded my expectations and, no, it didn't shake loose from the handgrip mount. That Tapco handgrip was tough to install, and I don't think it's going anywhere.

Just for sheet'n'giggles I drew my 2" Colt Detective and put 'em on the paper at 50 yards. Got a lot of sideway glances from the A'boys. :)

How I DO love this pistol!

Nice to here. I will shoot some distance with my pistol too. Its nice to see what you CAN hit at that kind of range with a handgun. Cool looking SKS too.

Wow! What a Colt! I love the grips. I gotta soft spot for blued steel and wood. Is that a bobbed hammer?

SKS isn't bad either.

Nice Colt. How do you like that Tapco stock on your SKS?

For a Bubba mod it works really well and is a decent fit, although fitting the handguard presented somewhat of a challenge.
