I have a new Remington 870 pump action shotgun. It is the model known as the Tactical Express. I would like to put some farkles on it. Those of you who ride motorcycles know what I mean :)
So hear is what I am thinking about
but I want your suggestions for more or less:
- Ghost ring aperture rear sight.
Read fiber optic front sight.
Illumination light under the barrel.
A side-saddle.
Vang Comp System
What more?
Thanks in advance!

No kitchen sink and microwave oven????

That's plenty - - - folks put so much "tactical" stuff on shotguns, ARs and AKs they lose the whole concept of a light quick to use tool.

Funny replies. Actually this will be more of my toy gun, and I wanna have fun with it. For more serious stuff, the Colt stays by my bedside, plain & simple, no farkles. And during the day the LCP is my carry.
So what more can I put on the Remington 870?

You could also hang a bag with 5 dice in it, so you could have Farkle Farkles.

You could maybe get a knox stock w/ a side saddle. Or a night sight ghost ring rear sight.

GPS Unit and a CD player?
Seriously, anything from here is what I would recommend
http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/ItemList ... catid=1102" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Lots of choices, but a sliding or folding butt stock with a pistol grip, heat shield, shell holders and a sling are a bare minimum. From there you can go hog wild!

When I read the title I thought the OP was going to be talking about coating the stock with the same reflective material that cover bass boats!

For all the rest of us a little in the dark about "farkles":
farkle
The word is generally accepted to mean a combination of "function" and "sparkle", hence, farkle.
Motorcycle enthusiasts may install accessories, called farkles (also spelled farkel), to customize their machine.
One source attributes the term to Pete Wells, the organizer of a 1997 Honda ST1100 rally

{delete this line and join two halves for url}
-or-is-it-Farkle--p2354383.html
The term is well known in the sport touring community.
An enthusiast may be in the process of "farkling". The completed motorcycle would be all "farkled up". Radar detectors, Global Positioning System receivers, heated grips, and satellite radios are some of those farkles. Other accessories could be aftermarket seats, side and/or top cases or bar risers, which make the motorcycle more suitable for long miles.
F.A.R.K.L.E. -- Fancy Accessory Really Kool Likely Expensive
I sourced the above definition from
http://www.urbandictionary.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, where you can find definitions for
all the slang that the younger generation (and some others) use.

How about a 12-42x56 NXS Nightforce mil-dot scope? You can bet that your 870 will stand out in a crowd with one of those. Nobody else will have one. Of course, it's all black, so it's not very farkley, but you will be hold the awe of lesser beings who are in the know.

Oooooo! I really like that cheaper than dirt website. Thanks for the link and the other suggestions.
Farkles - actually that urban dictionary definition has been made up over time.
Farkle is originally a Southern California term. I was there when the phrase was coined back in the 60's. It's an abbreviation for "f-ing sparkly things." Honest! Those other definitions have tried to intellectualize the term, and well motorcyclists, we aren't very intellectual
