Close Quarter tactical optics

#1

Post by Rayden »

So I am awaiting the arrival of my rifle kit from PSA and now I am looking for optics to go along with it. Any good recommendations for optics for Close Quarter tactical type of applications that is around $200 or lower? :patriot:

Check the red dots in the link below. Street price will get you close to $200. Reviews are generally good.

I have my eye on their 3x magnifier behind an eotech 512 I picked up second hand.

These are generally couple of hundred bucks less than the EOtech products. How do they compare?

Get Bushnell or Leupold Holo Displays. I do not like the Red dots in a tube. They obscure your view a lot especially at CQC. Other option TLR-2 HL or TLR-2G HL.

Not speaking from experience but it seems to me in CQC it would be better to just use your naked eyes.

You said "naked eyes", oh gosh, think about the children!

For a proper PC description: We say "Unaided Eyes" doncha know...?

(alright a little lame Friday morning humor)

Now off to the range for me and mine!

I only know what the reviews had to say. In some areas better and other not as good. I went thru a lot of reviews online and my impression is they are a good middle priced item. The eotech 512 was $275 used at a gun show. That was hard to turn down especially as it was in good physical shape. If the dealer I was talking with had not taken the 512 in trade the day before I would have likely purchased a vortex. Not likely I will find a eotech 3x discounted like a 512. Once the holidays are behind the vortex 3x will be part of my kit.
