What's the best position for the support hand when shooting from the bench? I've seen shooters put it underneath the forend, on top of the scope, and supporting the stock in the back. Recommendations?
Thanks for your help.

I use it to squeeze my rear support-bag.
Me too, when on the range.

When shooting from the bench, my support hand doesn't usually come into play. I generally just rest it on the table. Whatever works for you, and feels the most comfortable is the way to go in my opinion.

If you are on a bench with sand bags, the only hand that has a job is the trigger hand. I use the same technique when I can in the woods hunting. Grip a tree with the off hand and lay the rifle on your arm. Same principle, just not as steady as sand bags.
