Bill Introduced to Decriminalize Open Carry of Handgun in OK

But Representative Mike Ritze (R - Broken Arrow) wants to change that apparently in response to an online petition effort at http://www.petitiononline.com/oc4ok/petition.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; with over 3,700 signatures.

And if Ritze's newly introduced HB 1414 at http://webserver1.lsb.state.ok.us/2009% ... %5Fint.rtf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; passes, Oklahoma will join most states in requiring no permit to open carry handguns. Concealed carry of course would still require a permit like almost every state.
