Giving Nevada a Piece of Your Mind

Folks, if you wish to complain to the State of Nevada about not recognizing a Texas or Utah concealed handgun license, you should know that this decision is made by the Nevada Sheriffs' and Chiefs' Association. It is my understanding that the principle reason they do not recognize a Texas or Utah license, and possibly others, is the issuing of CHL to persons under 21 who are in the military or veterans. Nebraska recognizes a Texas CHL, but has a qualifier that you must be 21 years of age in order for them to recognize it.

You may mail your concerns to the below address. Nevada's economy is hurting right now and if enough folks wrote to them asking why they could not approach or qualify the 21-year old question the way Nebraska does, they might tale notice and reconsider. I have written to them letting them know that I will be going to Louisiana instead of Nevada for recreation and that because I have unchallenged control of the vendors list where I work, I have removed any company in Nevada from that list and let them know why - voting with my checkbook, so to speak. Hey, it might not help our cause, but I don't see that it could hurt and it should only take 10 minutes or so to write a letter.
