"Warrent ..We don't need any shinkin' warrent...." :smilelol5:

"The original quotation comes from the 1948 film The Treasure of the Sierra Madre with Humphrey Bogart. In one of the scenes in the movie a Mexican bandit leader (Gold Hat played by Alfonso Bedoya) is trying to convince Fred C Dobbs (played by Bogart) and company that they are the Federales.

Dobbs: 'If you're the police where are your badges?'
Gold Hat: 'Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges! I don't have to show you any stinkin' badges!' "

Is this for real? :headscratch

Gosh... I bet President Bush nips this in the bud just as soon as he hears about it.

A police spokeswoman said that if evidence of other crimes is found during voluntary searches, amnesty will be granted for that crime as well.

"Chief Lanier has been clear," Traci Hughes said. "Amnesty means amnesty."

So if they find say a dead body or meth lab? I know its not likly but there are some stupid criminals out there.

“We cannot do enough to empower residents to play a role in keeping their neighborhood safe."

Did you ever think about repealing the gun ban ordinance and letting innocent residents protect themselves?

Nah, probably not. :banghead:

Amnesty is amnesty bull, they already said any gun they confiscate wil be checked to see if it was involved in a crime,if the gun was used in a shooting i guarantee you will be charged, also if they see evidence of a crime while in the residence ie. meth lab, dead body, stolen property, they will just leave secure premises, get a search warrant with the probable cause they observed while in the residence, and you'll be on your merry way to jail.I can't believe how these people try to circumvent peoples rights to unreaonable search and seizure by making it look like if you say no thanks you have something to hide :evil2: hi here may we come in for a cup of tea eh what
It is said that if you line up all the cars in the world end-to-end, someone would be stupid enough to try to pass them

Maybe he'll send in the National Guard like they did during desegregation. (If the NG wasn't in Iraq.)
We're here. With gear. Get used to it.

This isn't violating anyone's constitutional rights. The DC police are "politely" asking if they can search the house. So when they are given permission, they have the home owners consent. People are just stupid enough to give permission.

True, it ISNT violating anyone's rights, thats the gameplan. Its just their way of circumventing the legal process of search warrants and further violating the 2nd and RKBA. But hey, if people are stupid enough to fall for it, then maybe they shouldn't own a firearm.
