Knife carry in Chicago?
I'm to make a business trip to Chicago next month and realize that my CHL is useless there. My question is, does Chicago prohibit carrying a locking blade knife with a blade under three inches? Thanks for any info.

Re: Knife carry in Chicago?
It looks like the limit is 2.5 inches. Locking blades don't seem to be a problem.
I can't vouch for the credibility of this site, but it looks reasonable:

That said, in 27 years of living in Chicago, I didn't know any law-abiding person to get in trouble over a knife. These ordinances are used selectively.
Pepper spray is legal there, AFAIK.
