New bills before the Michigan state House and Senate would repeal all pistol-free zones, including dormitories and classrooms on college campuses, setting off a hot debate in the state.

Now that just makes sense..... considering ...

“The Constitution [of Michigan] allows a law-abiding citizen to carry openly a weapon in all parts of the state, with no restrictions,” LeBlanc said. Meanwhile, concealed carry laws prohibit the same person from carrying a concealed weapon on college campuses. “It’s really odd,” he added, “which is one of the reasons to have the proposal considered.”

What's interesting is seeing the "SAME" arguments .

Which, in context here, are really funny..

Open carry is ok everywhere; concealed carry is currently banned on campus

"Adding more guns on campus" (it's the same ones open carried now, but covered by a shirt?)

"adding alcohol and guns" .... (so alcohol affects concealed ones more than the SAME open carried ones?)

"stress and alcohol as reasons for concealed carry bans" .... but it's ok open carried?

"suicide risk in homes with gun-owners" ... lolwut ???? issue is concealing the same ones open carried legally on campus now, under a shirt, which is currently banned on campus if covered by a shirt????????? issue is not suicide risk in a home ...


“Campuses are safe environments,” said Pelosi, “most crime occurs off campus.” ummmm duhhhhhhh ...perhaps more land area and more people are off campus ... more car wrecks occur off campus, more people grocery shop and get their hair done off campus too .... more people play hopscotch off campus ... more people look at the stars off campus, more people bathe off campus, more people go boating off campus ... .... but that's no reason to take peoples rights away while they are on campus. ........ besides, the issue is ..... whether a shirt covers it or not

Apparently, currently in Michigan on campus ...

Open carry = ok .........

Concealed = an evil illegally carried gun which makes one need to get drunk and go to Frat parties and have accidents and cause confusion because no one can see it
