I'm actually surprised that HP even reported on the story. Usually they just turn these things over to their left wing editorial staff and start bemoaning their right to further infringe upon ours.

Hopefully, more courts will see these tactics for exactly what they are, and put and end to the stupidity coming out of ignorant lawmakers.

There is no such thing as an "assault weapon". The term was made up by an anti-firearms group to scare people who didn't know any better. They wanted to equate semi-automatic rifles with actual "assault rifles" which have select fire (burst or full-auto). The term was parroted by the mass media propaganda machine. I don't like the term because of all of that, and please don't take this personally, but I do my best to educate folks who use the term.
