Thank you! Maybe someday you'll work up the courage to support a candidate in your own name and not hide behind someone else. :tiphat:

I made it in my real name but made it in honor of your screen name. PM me your real name and I will make another contribution in your honor and have the campaign send a tribute card to your home or office. Thx.

Of course you made it in your real name. It would be a campaign finance violation otherwise and Robert Mueller would get you for collusion and other high crimes and misdemeanors. :evil2:

OK I just drove through a different side of my neighborhood, and instead of the two Beto Bob signs, I saw 5 Cruz signs and a Republican Block Captain sign. :clapping:

Lots more Cruz signs going up now here in my neck of the woods (Westchase district, Houston).
Including the one in my yard that went up this week.

We've got to get enough people in the right places to slow it down before we can begin to reverse course.
On that we agree completely. Let's look at the facts. The majority party in the House is the same as the majority party in the Senate. The President is also from that party. It's pretty clear that voting for that party doesn't get the right people in the right places to slow down the double time march toward a third world socialist-hole.

I'm still voting for Cruz but I'm not sure about the rest of them.

I live on the south side (webster/clear lake) and I am appalled by the amount of beto signs and stickers I see around here. Probably 10 beto signs for every 1 Cruz. Most of the stickers are on younger kids cars, but i did see an older man with one the other day which kind of surprised me. I'll be voting for Cruz though obviously, hope the people without signs and stickers are Cruz supporters as well.

Unlike the democrats it's hard as all get out to get republicans to vote a straight party line on anything controversial because so many of them come from purple districts.

You're not going to find a dem that's going to vote with them consistently either and third party votes are just a wasted vote that help dem's win.

Where we have to take a stand and get active is in the primaries to ensure conservatives, not just republicans make the trip to DC and then we can effect some real change.

Just saw this headline at Houston's ABC affiliate: "Texas sets new voter registration record, with 15.6 million registered ahead of election"

I just hope the vast majority are Cruz supporters.

It concerns me to think how many may be new transplants to Texas, illegal aliens, paid, dead or young voters that think socialism is a good thing.

I agree completely about Democrats towing the party line. I commented on this to my wife (a die hard democrat) just this past Saturday night. She actually has accused me of "being wishy washy" because I don't support everything that Republicans do. Their complete adherence to the party line really is almost cult like.

Can you imagine the reaction of Republicans if it would have come out that party officials had secretly worked to manufacture a Trump victory in the primaries (as was the case for Hillary)? We couldn't even rally behind our candidate when all he had done was insult a few people.

My wife and I just registered to vote. In my area, I have only seen one "Beto" sign but right across the street from the elections office was a house with 3 signs for Beto. The honest truth is down here in deep south texas, the simple phrase of "If you don't vote for Beto, they are going to take away your benefits" is what scares the crap out of people to go and vote. Add, "He will bring sanctuary cities here so they can't deport such and such" and you have an almost guaranteed vote throughout the county.

My wife and I are going to vote for Ted Cruz and hope he wins, but down here, he will most likely lose. I hope I'm wrong, I have been seeing more and more trucks flying the U.S along with the "Don't tread on me" flags. I have yet to see ANY Ted Cruz signs but the people down here are NUTS. Should they see it, they will want to mess with your car, the sign, or home. I'm hoping for an actual Red Wave down here and will be completely surprised if the RGV starts turning red. Guess we'll see.
