Good read. Written by Charles L. Cotton on social media and censorship

I just read an editorial by our very own Charles Cotton in the May issue of America's first freedom. I could not possibly agree more with his words concerning our young people being conditioned to accept suppression of our first amendment rights for the sake of a "more-just" society. Excellent editorial and a must read.

My question is, How do we correct the direction of this ship? Our youth are being indoctrinated by left wing zealots from grade school through college.

I am so old, I had no idea that there was an online site with all the articles. Hahaha... I am still reading it the old fashioned way, the magazine.

Wonderful article. I never thought I would see a day when our constitutional rights were so maligned.

Ireland just passed a law making it illegal to post information not from a main stream news source.

How far away are we from laws like this. The Hunter laptop is the most perfect example of how the main stream media and social media lie to us.

I worry for the future.

Homeschooling has been an increasingly popular option.

Making sure the right people are on the Texas State Board of Education is another:
In Austin, Texas, 15 people influence what is taught to the next generation of American children. Once every decade, the highly politicized Texas State Board of Education rewrites the teaching and textbook standards for its nearly five million schoolchildren. And when it comes to textbooks, what happens in Texas affects the nation as a whole. Texas is one of the nation’s largest textbook markets because it is one of the few where the state decides what books schools can buy rather than leaving it up to local districts, which means publishers that get their books approved can count on millions of dollars in sales. Further, publishers craft their standard textbooks based on the requirements of the biggest buyers. As a result, the Texas board has the power to shape the textbooks that children around the country read for years to come.

Teaching history and firearms to the youth is also really important. That's a reason why I support Project Appleseed and am a firearms instructor.

Don't forget Loretta Lynch threatened to prosecute anyone making derogatory comments about Muslims. The weakening of the 1st Amendment has been happening for a long time with little opposition. Anti protest laws regarding abortion clinics from Bill Clinton also come to mind. Haven't seen any distance requirements for progressive protesters (nee rioters) at courthouses, State capitals or SCOTUS homes.

My largest fear is the indoctrinating of our youth to accept violations of their rights. The leftists have taken over our entire education system and are using it to put forth their agenda. We either change that somehow or I feel we are doomed in the long run.
