On July 23, 2024, The National Association for Gun Rights won summary judgment from the Federal District Court, Northern District of Texas, striking down the ATF's ban on forced reset triggers.
The ruling from Judge Reed O'Connor vacated the ATF's ban on forced reset triggers, stating unequivocally that the ATF had acted beyond the scope of its statutory authority and redefining forced reset triggers as machine guns.

NAGR wins lawsuit against ATF trigger ban
“Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual.” --Thomas Jefferson

Am I correct that this applies only to the groups that appealed?Grayling813 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 24, 2024 3:03 pm On July 23, 2024, The National Association for Gun Rights won summary judgment from the Federal District Court, Northern District of Texas, striking down the ATF's ban on forced reset triggers.

Re: NAGR wins lawsuit against ATF trigger ban
Having quickly read through this thing, no. the ATF overstepped their bounds and the ruling that FRT are machine guns is incorrect. So, since I am not a lawyer, take that understanding and $5 and buy a cup of coffee. As for me, I see it as a win for all.puma guy wrote: ↑Wed Jul 24, 2024 5:11 pmAm I correct that this applies only to the groups that appealed?Grayling813 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 24, 2024 3:03 pm On July 23, 2024, The National Association for Gun Rights won summary judgment from the Federal District Court, Northern District of Texas, striking down the ATF's ban on forced reset triggers.

I agree. My quick read of the decision says he vacated the FRT rule, making it null and void in its entirety and for everyone. He then enjoined the ATF against any enforcement action against any person or entity.
A win for everyone.
