I hadn't heard anything about the Oakland situation until today. I must be the last person on earth to learn about this. (This is what happens when one doesn't own a television, apparently.)

I found the following page helpful in getting up to speed on what happened:

Words can not express the feelings I have towards some of these dispicable human beings. I believe this smiley most accurately describes those feelings... :blowup

I think youre a digit short...might want to check that?

I used to live in North San Jose for a little while...just south of the Oakland area. I'm happy I'm not there anymore as well. But now we have these drug wars going on along the boarder...I'm surprised more things related to that havent popped up around Houston... Hope it doesnt get bad... :leaving

I hear you, ClarkLZeuss. The only reason I've got as many as I do is because of inheritance/gift guns. Oh, and the cheap-as-in-dollars not cheap-as-in-cheap 91/30 Mosin that just arrived.

Anyone need an artillery barrage called in?

Careful. The antis will catch wind of it and put you in the category of possessing an "arsenal." ;-)

I did that for a few months but it got too expensive.

At least a couple people called him for what he is.

I went to the Saxet gun show in SA yesterday and was reminded of how painfully low my funds are. Spent the whole day looking like this:

Walked away with two 17 round magazines for my Beretta .40 and some 30 round ones for my SKS though. :txflag:

What a tragidy! My prayers go out to the families of the officers and those who want to make this a race war. It is hard to understand how someone with such a history of violence is allowed to walk the streets. We need more tolerance for differences and less tolerance for violent behavior. Unfortunately, this will be a cry for more gun control instead of actual enforcement and punishment of criminals by the court system.
