In 2005 President Bush passed the "Freedom to display the American Flag Act" into law. :hurry: :hurry: :hurry: :clapping: :clapping:

Its not illegal if its on private property owned by a private company. They can make any rules they want(just you a private citizen can govern their own home). You sign a lease agreement stating you will follow property policy. You have the option to leave if you don't like their rules. If you don't follow their rules they have the option to evict you after proper notice and other procedural mumbo jumbo. The only reason they reversed their position was to save face( and money...).

The new law prohibits Condo Associations and other real Estate Management companies from denying unit owners the right to display the American flags from their individual units. This new law means that even though homeowners may have signed an agreement that restricted modifications to the exterior of their condos or townhouses the display of the American flag is exempted from those rules
Maybe I am misunderstanding what I am reading but I read that to mean as long as this law is in place the resident has the right to fly. :headscratch

Edit: Of course this isn't actually the letter of the actual law so maybe they are misquoting too. :tiphat:
