According to two witnesses, Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia took fellow Justice Elena Kagan out for a lesson in skeet shooting at his shooting club in Virginia last week....

He needs to get a real self-defense weapon into her hand and take her into a neighborhood where it is an equalizer so she can feel what the 2nd Amendment is really about - not shooting clay pigeons as a rich man's club! Maybe Justice Thomas would be a better guide to such a location and the need for real protection.
Jesus said, "And the one who has no sword must sell his cloak and buy one." (Luke 22:36 NET) Also, Jesus said, "When a strong man, fully armed, guards his own homestead, his possessions are undisturbed"(Luke 11:21 NAS)

Baby steps, baby steps...don't want to scare her off.
TXlaw1 has a very valid point. In a lot of countries where the elitists have banned guns they still allow guns to some extent for shooting competition activities. At least she went but I can guarantee you its not changing her opinion on handguns or self defense.

I don't see the point. Taking a wild guess I would imagine that as a Justice they would both rate Secret Service bodyguards. As a result it is easy for people in such positions of power and used to being protected to become detached from the reality that you and I might experience.
EDIT: I was corrected on this. Apparently they don't enjoy bodyguard protection. But you get my point!

My point was liberal nuts only want to allow for activites they deem appropriate. I can just see the conversation with Kagan after her skeet shooting opportunity. "Oh I find nothing wrong with people shooting skeet as long as handguns, self defense, and anything to do with hunting is banned, and as long as all the shotguns used for skeet shooting are registered and kept in lockers where they must me checked in and checked out on the premise of the shooting club."
That was my point, her experience there is not going to make her a 2nd Ammendment supporter they way the 2nd Ammendment was written to be.
You don't take some one out, hand them the keys and a learners permit and tell them start driving. You teach them how just a little at a time. I am willing to bet that no one on this forum's first experience with a firearm was in a self defense situation so why would you wish such a thing on someone else no matter how apposed they are to your Second Amendment rights?
How do you explain a dog named Sauer without first telling the story of a Puppy named Sig?

Correct - that job falls to USMS Judicial Protection branch.

Exactly what I was thinking. Get a gun into her hands, any gun. Let her see that it is not evil.
For all I know, just taking her shooting may be the single greatest thing for us RKBA supporters in the last hundred years. . . . Or it may have been a complete waste of time and ammo. Who knows? But it looks like he's trying.

Please tell me when you met her, and how long you've known her for! I'd love to get more insights into our newest justice.
EDIT: I get really perturbed when I see people thinking this way. I am proof it's incorrect, and I have myself proven it incorrect 22 times since January this year.
