6:33 josh russell on 750 UT Grad, john woods told me to say ...I'll give you a map of the campus, it's different than a WalMart, mall and rest of Texas so police are different... :headscratch

6:36 Eric Shupert Attorney in Austin, insurance atty on 750... risk analysis ... public safety threatened by self defense.
those kids get stressed, are druggies and drunks. 20 year olds will shoot if you snore to loudly blah blah blah VT review panel who voted everyone is safer getting executed than allowing self defense because police shoot everyone with anything in their hand.. "increase the risks" but not citing and sources nor data, just generalizations.
Here's what the second amendment means ( and his misunderstanding of it)

X is my opinion, so you must.

pretty much reading the article I posted a link to last night that he wrote and posted at huffers post about VT policy/committee Mental health cut on campus and loophole cut on campus
Library shooting again.
Campus muggings and CH?Ls get guns used against them
All VT survivors are on his side (lie)
I sent the following email to all of the committee members as soon as I heard John voice that lie:
I am listening to the testimony on HB 86, HB 750, HB 1176 and HB 1356. John Wood made a statement which I challenge. He stated that all of the Virginia Tech survivors and their families agree that guns should not be allowed on campus. However, two of the actual survivors are members of the Virginia Tech chapter of Students For Concealed Campus Carry, so his statement is inaccurate.

As with any controversial subject, there is disagreement among good-willed people on the efficacy of campus carry. It is unfair for John to misrepresent those who disagree with him as being in agreement simply because they cannot afford to or are not able to attend the hearings.

6:44 a UT student FOR the bills Good testimony SEAN/Shawn missed the last name
In error says Tucson "He pulled his firearm but didn't fire" "Actually he took safety off, but didn't draw, it stayed in pocket)
Got notified on emergency alert system 3 hours after events occurred.
This is high stress here, I guarantee you armed people are in this room, maybe even me, we behaved right?
So where is high stress, it's here.
suicides jumped off building
police reactions,

well done

6:49 Kayla Garcia I'm here instead of on spring break and against everything
Library is full of ticking time bombs all stressed at finals and any of them can go off but a chl will have a gun and we'll all be targets

It bugs me that no one mentions the risk of theft for guns left in the car.

6:58 More UT Austinites?, Austinonions?, John Woods look-alikes, sound-alikes
Student govt said it's no good because we asked a biased poll so you should defeat these, college students are mentally ill and no matter how old they are they are crazy and colleges are sacred places
We'll all need to be nice and polite because a CHL will murder us if we disagree.
CHL class should be longer because it all talks about feelings all class long
again, everyone is mentally ill at UT, it's a special place :smilelol5:

(If that's true, let the professors go and hire unemployed people and issue them white coats and lots of straight jackets for the students and pad the room walls)

Wow, what works for Utah, does NOT work for Texas  Why? Because people in Utah are peasants and live in rural areas!

7:03 A&M Professor Some students get angry

Someone might get angry and pull a gun.
low probability of getting shot on campus with no guns (they'll use knives like weeks ago at UH)

we got the bestest teacher we need to do anything they say.

he states "probabilities" without citing data and states chls can't cite data.
i'm scared of students.

(Don't let the door hitcha)

So, he is afraid from angry students, so how does he act when someone crazy guy came with gun and they are mad at his professor even he did not have a CHL? what he has to do? And he refers to statistics that campuses are safe. blah blah...

Can someone ask this Prof Who is stopping students from illegally carrying a gun?

I gotta say, in 1984, I was in college, in Houston, my mom was dying of Leukemia in Austin. I drove and took care of her and missed a mid term, prof wouldn't let me make it up, I had 32 As in a row, got a D in his class even after explaining the situation. Yeah I was furious, I ran into him years later, we discussed it, he said he didn't know I was serious, I was 30 years old about that time I think. I got over it, he got over it. we shook hands. I never thought of hurting the man.

7:14 Colby Lee? reading 3 Virginia Tech Victims Testimony (1 2)

1) Susan Turner, a mommy of a deceased,
These are glad it was a gun free campus so their kids were effective targets.
Arming teachers makes teachers the first target

2) lilly Haftu
Student at some yankee state, not a taxpayer nor resident who wants to remotely control us and admits to getting an illegal CHL in Virginia.

3) colin goddard's junk, he guesses that if someone had a gun they'd give it to cho. and everyone will be suicidal

Study:
THe Israel ADOLESCENT rate of suicide decreased if they had no military weapon. so ddon't allow a chl on campus, it's a magical place.

So, distilling the arguments of the antis:

1) Guns don't belong in chemistry labs cause stuff might blow up (I guess the guns will jump out of their holsters at the sight of volatile chemicals and spark an explosion by firing off a round)
2) Guns don't belong on campus because we feel safe already. There's no crime here. It all happens off campus.
3) Guns don't belong on campus because we're not a bunch of hicks in rural areas.
4) Guns don't belong on campus because students are so completely out of control and under such tremendous stress that a gun will make them even more dangerous.
5) Guns don't belong on campus because we feel intimidated by guns and so we'll be afraid to argue with each other, and professors will be afraid to hand out bad grades.
6) We all believe passionately in the 2nd Amendment and we were raised around guns. They just don't belong here.

Did I miss anything?

EDIT: Yes, I did.

7) Guns don't belong on campus because really, really smart students from other states will no longer come here if we allow guns on our campuses.
