The angriest people I've ever known were gun-hating liberals. They are in a permanently sour mood because there are legal and constitutional limits on how much they get to control the lives of other people. It ticks them off that someone, somewhere, is having politically incorrect fun, and they can know no peace until they squash it.

every single word of this article is pure BULL!
I understand that this article is disagreeable to many, but that does not make it false. I would like to see the study and the statistics gathered before I would make such brash statements. Disagreement does not equate being wrong.
Really???? If this "study" were anything but a hit piece based on less than junk science, we'd see much more anecdotal evidence in the form of daily gun fights over parking spaces, jealous spouses shooting each other over minor misunderstandings, etc. I agree with the statement that this is pure BULL.

The correlation drawn between numbers of firearms owned and propensity for violence seems most ludicrous to me. I would have to see the entire study methodology, the data collected and how that data was transformed to consider if there is any truth at all in the so-called findings being reported. If taken at face value, it lines up perfectly with the Progressives' agenda -- after all, if 10% of gun owners (and we have no way of knowing who they might be) are apt to snap at any time shouldn't everyone be "disqualified" from owing a gun?

If this nonsense were true, how is that more liberals aren't dead at the hands of angry gun owners?

I'm keeping an open mind, and I think I see something I like in the study. If 10% of gun owners are dangerously angry people, yet gun-toters don't seem to hurt anyone, then guns must be GREAT anger management therapy.

In fact, I'm starting to feel unreasonable right now. I think I need to get a gun prescription. Obamacare needs to buy me a Ruger Bisley, or an AR-15, or a mare's leg in .44 magnum, or a S&W 629, or a Wilson racegun.

Heck, this is serious. Send 'em all. Throw in a Bond Defender. I've only got two Sig P320's now, one fullsize and a subcompact, send a P320 Carry and a Streamlight to hang on the rail just to make sure we nip this anger situation in the bud.

I'm almost sure that would cure what ails me. Prescribe a thousand rounds of ammo, taken weekly, injected into paper, and I'm certain of it. :biggrinjester:

This would be a good time to share the statistics of chl holders vs the general populous. Would also like to share include law enforcement in that comparison. I know the study wasn't just CHLs bit it would be a good indicator that guns don't cause people to go off half cocked. (Pun intended)

How the stats were compiled doesn't matter. The game is in the simple claim "anger issues." What are "anger issues?" Anger issues are whatever the people conducting the study want them to be. That's how liars play the study game. They define the study to produce the desired outcome. Anytime a study is based on some nebulous psychological term like "anger issues" it's promoting an agenda. EVERY TIME, no exceptions. The MSM is NEVER going to provide enough of the study detail for you to form your own conclusion about the validity of a supposed "study" when it supports the desired narrative. Frequently such details will be locked behind some server wall and not readily available to the general public.

Less obvious is when these liars make claims such as "25% of women in college are victims of sexual assault" --which would seem on the surface to be a objective determination. But it's a completely bogus number arrived at by defining "sexual assault" to produce the desired number of victims. There is NO sociological study that isn't a pack of lies. NOT ONE (well, maybe 1 or 2 out of every 100 is valid....whether that makes them true or not is another question). Sociologists and psychologists are always advocates, never scientists.

As many have pointed out...one sure objective way to know without further review if a study like this is valid is to ask: does it comport with reality? And it obviously does not. Most murders in this country are not committed by angry white men with big gun collections. Not even close. Most murders occur in large urban areas run by liberal Democrats and plagued by gang violence. When these killings are removed from consideration the murder rate in the US is virtually the same as the rate in Europe. Yet this fact is NEVER discussed in the MSM.

A very strong point right here.

So is everyone claiming that liberals deliberately obfuscate the truth? Say it isn't so!

I think most of us are saying that there's lies, da**ed lies, and statistics, in order of magnitude. Agendas are often promoted on the basis of all of these, and the agenda of the gun-grabbers has never shied away from shady tactics and even shadier dialog and statistics. Your agenda, as well as your mileage, may vary.

angry people who get banned from owning a gun....

I wonder how they will stop angry people from owning knives, shanks, boxcutters, screwdrivers -phillips or flat head, hammers - reg and ball peen, clubs, trucks, cars, muratic acid in a super soaker, or any other weaponizonable tool etc.

I do get very angry when I see news videos of perps committing volient forcible felonies on innocent women, children, the elderly that allow a legally articulated deadly force response in self defense by the victims or a third party.

I wonder if I meet their definition?

The solution is very simple. Forget about the guns, knives, shanks, boxcutters, screwdrivers -phillips or flat head, hammers - reg and ball peen, clubs, trucks, cars, muratic acid in a super soaker, and any other weaponizonable tool.

Just make getting angry illegal.

I suspect there are a lot more angry people behind the wheel of a car than waking around with a gun in there pockets or waistband.
