I had a wife for several years who must have invented this plan. We always lived beyond our means and payed thousands in interest every year, she bought junk with charge cards and we were slaves to debt. After she left I became financially secure and she blew her settlement. So I have seen it before and it doesn't end well for the fools who spend themselves into poverty.
