With that mentality you might as well reserve your spot in line at the Davis firearm confiscation center.

Haha right, at least with the others you'll still have the right to defend yourself.

At this point, I plan on voting for Greg Abbott. However, there is no way I would ever willingly cast my vote for anyone in the Democrat Party. They want nothing more than to create a Euro-collectivist political system in the USA, and if they are successful, bye-bye self-defense. Part and parcel of them controlling this nation is "turning Texas blue". No thanks.
Abbott and Patterson. Strongest pro 2nd amendment types I have seen in a long time.

Don't underestimate the gender play. Several of my otherwise conservative female friends are all kinds of excited about Wendy Davis running for governor. Something about her understanding women and women rights.

You mean the woman's right not to protect herself, let the police do it?

They're worth voting for but the Republicans deserve to lose if they nominate Straus or Perry for anything. The good people of Texas don't need more of the same heel-dragging "leadership" that blocks campus carry every session.

Davis running for Governor is another example of her lack of intelligence. Against strong TX conservatives like Abbott and Pauken, she won't stand a chance.

She'd have had a better chance running for US Senator. The GOP field in that race is pretty weak with Dewhurst and Cornyn.

I wish her nothing but failure and embarrassment in her political career....

Her run is not about winning, it's about creating cracks in the wall and diverting resources. It's not about THIS year, it's part of a long term plan.

If you're a Conservative, the best advice I can give you is this..... Have LOTS of babies. The other guys are beating us by attrition.

Wish we COULD "win the other guys over" with our arguments. Unfortunately, the folks voting for Obama and his crew (and all of the liberal progressives funding them) don't understand/have no interest in the things we talk about like: personal accountability, self-reliance, ethics, morals, GOD given liberty, truth and honor. They care about what they get for free, and will vote for those that promise to give it to them. Unfortunately, our country has entered the stage warned by Benjamin Franklin "when the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic". Now, we just need to collectively decide whether that is the way we want to go. Or not..... :patriot: :txflag:

so far none of my female friends will be voting for her, we'll see what happens as things close in, but I'll keep most of them in line. ;-)

I haven't heard a single soul (outside this forum) mention her name.
