This is interesting and raises quite a few questions about shipping guns by air.

I did an old thread search and nothing came up. Correct me if I am wrong, and it won't be the first or last time.

Something doesn't sound right with that.

Why is he flying American Airlines and not El Al? Is he and his security detail not entering us US under Diplomatic credentials so his luggage would have been handled as diplomatic status?

This doesn't pass the smell test.

Well, either way, it stinks.

It looks like he flew into JFK on El Al and then had a regional carrier (American Eagle) flight to DC. The case with the missing guns was redirected to LAX (mistakenly or on purpose) and when found, was without his guns.

Apparently, there is video evidence of TSA taking possession of the case at JFK (after taken off the El Al flight) for inspection and then it went missing. Fishy alright, just like a lot of other property that comes up missing while in the possession of TSA and baggage handlers...

Netanyahu was likely flying on an Israeli military aircraft. Looks like the "Shin Bet" team was an advance security team and they (not Bibi) arrived on El Al flight to JFK, then took American Eagle to DC. The security team obviously had State Dept clearance to have the weapons, otherwise they would have been arrested by Customs upon arrival in US. Likely, they cannot carry them aboard US domestic flights unless they're protecting the PM. They weren't. He wasn't there yet.

Every time I check a firearm on an airline, I know there's a distinct possibility they'll lose it, just like any other luggage.

-If things can be REMOVED FROM luggage, then things can be PUT INTO luggage, just as easy.-

USPS, FEDEX, UPS, all do a good job of tracking and safeguarding even small packages every day, so the technology has been around for years.

ALL luggage should be fully monitored and tracked from start to finish of trip. FULLY accountable so if there is ANY problem its traceable to the exact people involved.

There should NOT be ANY lost luggage PERIOD!

(Grrrrr)
