The following is a narrative taken from a 2008 Sunday morning televised "Meet The Press'.
From Sunday's 07 Sept. 2008 11:48:04 EST, Televised "Meet the Press" THE THEN Senator Obama was asked about his stance on the American Flag.

General Bill Ginn' USAF (ret.) asked Obama to explain WHY he doesn't follow protocol when the National Anthem is played.

The General stated to Obama that according to the United States Code, Title 36, Chapter 10, Sec. 171...

During rendition of the national anthem, when the flag is displayed, all present (except those in uniform) are expected to stand at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart. Or, at the very least, "Stand and Face It".

NOW GET THIS !!

'Senator' Obama replied:
"As I've said about the flag pin, I don't want to be perceived as taking sides". "There are a lot of people in the world to whom the American flag is a symbol of oppression.." "The anthem itself conveys a war-like message. You know, the bombs bursting in air and all that sort of thing."
(ARE YOU READY FOR THIS???)
Obama continued: "The National Anthem should be 'swapped' for something less parochial and less bellicose. I like the song 'I'd Like To Teach the World To Sing'. If that were our anthem, then, I might salute it. In my opinion, we should consider reinventing our National Anthem as well as 'redesign' our Flag to better offer our enemies hope and love. It's my intention, if elected, to disarm America to the level of acceptance to our Middle East Brethren. If we, as a Nation of waring people, conduct ourselves like the nations of Islam, where peace prevails - - - perhaps a state or period of mutual accord could exist between our governments ....."

When I become President, I will seek a pact of agreement to end hostilities between those who have been at war or in a state of enmity, and a freedom from disquieting oppressive thoughts. We as a Nation, have placed upon the nations of Islam, an unfair injustice which is WHY my wife disrespects the Flag and she and I have attended several flag burning ceremonies in the past".

"Of course now, I have found myself about to become the President of the United States and I have put my hatred aside. I will use my power to bring CHANGE to this Nation, and offer the people a new path..My wife and I look forward to becoming our Country's First black Family. Indeed, CHANGE is about to overwhelm the United States of America "

And this man was elected to our highest office?!?

2012 is just a few months away ... This should not ever happen again!!!

It started as a columnist's satire and has morphed through email into the presently presented form. Appropriately satirical, but completely made up.

Don't feel too bad. The problem lies in how easily so many could believe that he might have said it. Is it he, or we? I must admit, politics is a cruel profession.

Any chance we can lock this to keep it from spreading? Nothing like junk to give the left and the anti-gun people fuel.

Yes, oh how i wish there were a circular file on the internet to stop nonsense email! Ugh! My dad sends the most outrageous anti Obama emails to me. While I don't like our President, making up stuff that sounds more than silly does not help the conservative viewpoint. The truth is alarming enough!

I did. While a politician might hold views that alienate a great number of people, he/she is not likely to express them in so publicly a manner. Most likely only mutter them under his/her breath when out of range of cameras and microphones. Had this been legitimate, then there would have much more coverage of it at that point in the campaign, and you can bet John McCain would have been all over it. JMHO

I knew right away, about 3 words into it. I can't stand the guy, but I don't think he's dumb enough to have said any of those things.........in public.

Did you know he was born in Kenya and is not a US citizen, therefore ineligible to hold the office of President? No one has ever seen his long form birth certificate because it doesn't exist.

And Bush (43) strategically placed charges around the Twin Towers, then had the CIA take control of the auto-pilot on two airlines and crash them into the buildings. This of course so Halliburton could get control of the Iraqi oil and to prevent the real story of his father's involvement in the Kennedy assassination from coming to light. Excuse me while I don my tin foil hat, the black UN helicopters are coming for me now that I have verified these truths.

Not a fan of Obama, but upon first reading of what his supposed quotes are in the story, I knew it was fake. Those statements are far too outlandish even for him and would be the death knell to any political candidate.

While there is probably a fringe group on the Left who would applaud those statements (were they true), I believe Liberals as a whole love America just as much as Conservatives do. They just have a different vision of how America should look.

Scott, you're buying into the whole notion that planes crashed into the Towers at all. Everyone knows those were actually holograms generated by satellites, and the few plane parts that were found were planted at the same time the explosives were placed.

And, yes, some people actually believe this.
