Sorry, but this is ridiculous. This is a single unnamed, undescribed supposed "deep background" source telling a story with not a single shred of verifiable attribution or even tangental evidence of any kind. This is the equivalent of what it would look like if the Washington Post had published word-for-word the story told by "Deep Throat" without running down any other leads, coroboration, time-lines, or first-hand accounts from any other person. This is "journalism" at its absolute worst and I don't believe a word of it.
I'm not saying this version of events isn't true - how they heck would anyone be able to determine at this point if it is or isn't (which is likely the whole point of publishing it)? But until these so-called internet "reporters" do the leg work and track down this story, it's not worth the bandwidth it takes up on the internet. Absolute garbage.
And by no means should my reply be seen as an attack on VM177 for posting this. My scathing words above are for whoever posted the original story on the internet in the first place.

I linked to the site from a gun blog. I've never heard of it before. I thought about not posting the link but a quick review of its "popular article" titles suggested the site wasn't merely anti-Obama (for instance there's an article trashing Trump that is positive about BO's birth certificate). Ultimately, I found some of it amusing, especially the comment about how BO's clothing and expression in the photo substantiated the claims of the article. Subsequently, poking around a little more, the articles are not very well or professionally written, however, I do note that on the same site there is now an article calling the guy who wrote the article I linked to a "liar."

The CIA, nor Sec Def/MIL can overrule the president. If the US Govt is going to attack, or apprehend someone, it is not doing so (on OBL's level anyway) w/o direct presidential sign off. Esp a previously black op of that magnitude isn't going to go forward without his word.
This article is garbage.

I am always comforted in the knowledge that there is never any worthless dribble from the left that too many will just swallow without question.

Whoops!
Mr Panetta also revealed that the US Navy Seals made the final decision to kill bin Laden rather than the president.
Despite the abysmally poorly worded sentence (don't they have editors in England), the CIA director clearly stated on the record that the President didn't make the decision to kill Bin Laden.

I read somewhere that Obama was actually there, on the ground leading the Op and that he, personally, shot Osama in the head.

The Navy SEALS did make the final call. They are the ones who finally pulled the trigger.
