Ya Jack-wagon

#1

Post by 38cobra »

I just learned that Lee Ermy was fired from the big G insurance company because of his political opinion. Guess I'll fire that insurance company tomorrow and look for one that supports free speech. Still enjoy his Glock commercials.

I quit the big P company years ago when I found out what they were doing with my money. It disappointed me that they didn't ask why nor care that I dropped them.

Because of retirement I now have the time to come out of the lurker mode and do some posting.

I saw that report also. I don't use the Green Lizard Insurance Co. anyway, but I certainly wouldn't even consider it now.

I did see where Geico was contacted on the matter and said he was not fired. They are just not using him now.
So, let's see... they are not using him, and they are not running the commercial that has him in it... :grumble

Considering that Bee-oh's buddy, Warren Buffet owns GEICO, it's not a stretch to believe that Gunny was fired.

Ermey claims he was fired for remarks at a public gathering some time ago, but it may be that his ads just don't get the phones ringing like they used to. You can bet that for what they spend on advertising they keep track of it. You hardly see cavemen anymore, either.

Ermey should be at USAA anyway, where they know what it means to serve.

I joined USAA as a brand new Ensign 44 years ago and have probably saved more on car and home insurance than I made the entire time I was active and reserve, plus I have a significant member savings account built up now as well.
Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

The same USAA that has all of its brick and mortar locations legally posted to prevent the carrying of any firearms?

Yep!

(Well, at least the main campus...I don't recall seeing one at the location on 35 and 1604)

Yep, and the same one that fought the employer parking lot bill like a tiger.

I may not be as involved in that question as y'all are, seeing as how USAA has no large office here, there is no such thing as "legally posting" nor any need, as almost nobody has a CHL here anyway. I was one of maybe 2000 in the county until mine expired not long ago.
