Could it be no more Coors beer for me.....??

As the name indicates, this is the place for gun-related political discussions. It is not open to other political topics.

I don't know if it has changed but I know about 10 years ago, one of the Coors guy said they stand behind the right to bear arms. I think the NRA did a story about it. Again, this was a while ago.

EDIT: Okay, found the link NRA link. IT was in 2004 and they very well might have changed since then. http://www.nraila.org/news-issues/in-th ... rs&st=&ps=" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

IMHO, I think Coors just gets slapped with internet rumors just like Coke, Tide and all the name brand products do.

its now a conglomerate
assuming it WAS anti gun now thats its owned by Molson Coors Brewing Company and SABMiller plc who knows what the politics are

"Is MillerCoors still an American company?

Yes, MillerCoors is an American company incorporated in Delaware with major business locations in Milwaukee, WI and Golden, CO. In addition, our corporate headquarters is in Chicago, IL. We operate eight major breweries in Colorado, Wisconsin, California, Texas, Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia and Ohio. Our legacy companies, Miller Brewing Company and Coors Brewing Company, have more than 288 years of combined history in the American beer business.

We are owned by two great global beer companies, Molson Coors Brewing Company and SABMiller plc , who are strongly committed to the U.S. market."

I don't really care. I can't stand any of their undrinkable swill anyways. Might as well have a glass of toilet water.

The primary ownership, SAMMiller is based out of the UK. I doubt they are what we would consider "gun friendly".

Perfect Solution = drink Shiner Bock

1. Better beer
2. No chance of supporting anti-gun agenda
3. Keeps your money in Texas

SAB stands for South African Breweries, they moved their holding company to London for exchange purposes. Based in Jo'burg.

Yes. I'm very aware of that. My neighbor from South Africa makes sure to remind me of that. None the less their corporate headquarters is in London and has been for a while.

I Second the Shiner recommendation.

If the anti-gun thing is true, here's all we need to know about why.
