Chris Christie signs 10 new gun control bills

This is the one that burns me the most
• Disqualify people on the federal terrorist watch list from owning guns (A3687).

I would hope this would kill his chances in the primary if he runs for 2016. Unfortunately, with the way the primaries are front loaded with blue states, I have a feeling we may end up coronating him, like McCain, after the east coast gets rid of everyone else.

I have never voted Libertarian in my life, but that is exactly what I will do if Chris Christie gets the nomination. Voting for a RINO like him isn't really any better than voting for a Democrat, IMPO. I have many disagreements with the Libertarian Party but I haven't noticed them trying to push gun control.

It looks to me like the MSM is trying to set him up as the back-up candidate in the event they just can't sell Hillary to John Q. Public (or in the event Hillary is serving hard time in 2016).

IIRC, that list is classified, so how is anyone supposed to check if they're on it. For that matter, how is the dealer supposed to check? And AFAIK, there's no real way to get off the list if you're put on it by mistake... So I guess clerical errors or having the same name as a terrorist is all it takes to have your rights taken away in NJ.

I did exactly that in the 2012 presidential election. Romney was clearly going to win Texas and Obama was going to win it all. So I used my vote to send a message and voted for the Libertarian. If compromise is truly a part of government, I'll concede pot use for other liberties that I hold dear to my heart. Our government is too big.

not to mention that list will grow exponentially as people search for either a back pack or a pressure cooker  (basically giving them an easy out to add enough people to the list so they can just ban guns period) they're going to keep chipping away one little bill at a time until they have enough for the whole enchilada :mad5

Yep. And this is why I identify more closely with the Libertarian party than the Dems or Repubs. I want maximum freedom in all areas. And they're the only ones that really support that. Most of the (R) and (D) candidates I see are just not that impressive.

Underneath his feel-good conservative rhetoric lies a New Jersey liberal yankee. :txflag:

NJ republicans, and most NE state repubs, are about as conservative as rank and file (notice I didn't say "all" ... as in sjl) Texas democrats.

Maybe even less so, except for the moonbats chanting "Hail Satan" at the Capitol (which is par for Austin Democrats).

I think Christie would be worse than four more years of Obama. Christie is a no good, lying, treacherous wolf in Bloomberg clothing.

If Chris Christie is the nominee, I am looking for another person to vote for. I held my nose for MCCain, I did the same for Romney. I am done. Put up either a conservative or a libertarian or I am walking GOP.
